That's right we are back to Keywords. I know you've read it over and over again but without the proper keyword - keyword phrases for your site you might as well forget any high rankings in any of the major search engines.
Good solid advice comes in like a broken record whether we like it or not.
OK then! Keywords and Keyword phrases.
Use two or three keyword phrases.
We search for two or three word phrases rather than single keywords. This will narrow the matches.
Do Not target general keywords on your page. If you use general keywords you will definitely not
rank in the top 10.
We search in lower-case letters type in "blue green algae" rather than
"Blue Green Algae. Some Search Engines are case sensitive (they will search for the keyword exactly as you have typed it), include both versions of your keyword in tags and body text, when possible.
Pair a generic keyword with a more specific one, target your prospects by using keyword phrases like, "blue green algae" instead of algae or arabian show horses instead of horses
- Be creative!
- Be specific!
- The key here is to think like your customer- clientele.

7 tips to get your mind working in the keyword development mode:
- Write out a description of your business. Stay focused. Avoid being too broad in what you want to communicate.
- What do you do? Sell a product or service? Tell about those products or services. The product names may be excellent keywords for some of your pages.
- What is your business's overall objective? What are its quirks and unique aspects?
- Brainstorm. Think of as many ways to describe what it is you do in your business.
- Association. Compile a list and then develop descriptors based on what these words generate in the way of new words and phrases.
- Keep a log of what you've come up with, and over time, begin to refine your keyword list.
- What keywords do your competitors use? This should give you a lot of ideas for keyword combinations.
Other keyword ideas:
Use misspelled keywords or common typo's . Yes, it works! Are some of your keywords or phrases typically misspelled? Include the misspelled versions in your tags, and you capture those bad spellers.
Use longer variations of your keywords. Many Search Engines use "stemming" or "word stems," meaning that searches for root words will also include variations of that word. EX: use "marketing" instead of "market." This allows you to reduce the number of words in your META tags and on your page because the Search Engines that practice stemming will return your site for searches on those word variations. Also, add an "s" to each of your keywords.
Keep in mind this process while creating your web pages and most important your doorway pages for each keyword/keyword phrase: You'll be including keywords, keyword combinations, and misspelled words in your META tags, title and description submissions. These are all tools that will be used to boost your placement.
